      Hi. In Lightroom you can't really. But you can use the crop tool in photoshop and set the "fill" dropdown to content aware. That will keep the initial size, but still crop away a part of the image. If you don't want that at all, you have to extend the canvas size in photoshop first, by using the crop tool and enlarge the crop (use generative expand - at best google that, it's hard to explain in words 😉) and then use the crop tool to rotate. I hope that helps!

      Thank you 😉. I just checked. I have to admit that I don't know for sure whether the one I currently use is the one that came with the light. I have quite a few reflectors from older lights and flash lights. But I checked them all and they have around 18cm outer diameter. My barn doors are also really old and cheap and they fit them all. So if you get one for standard reflectors, you will be fine 😉.

    thank you for the videos, it really is a good technique but I am having problems: so I first key-out the head and it goes well but if I try to use the ultra key again it still edits the head part, so what I am doing is making another mask to only affect the body and not the head nor the background. At this point I have the head and the body key'd-out and it looks good but I can't get the other background parts without messing what I already key'd-out and making a mask to only cover the background without touching the other 2 ultra keys is hard with movement. I've watched the video and when you add the second ultra key it doesn't mess your head-key, why isn't it working like that for me? am I doing something wrong? I don't know if it matters but I also have them in the same order as the video: the head on top, body 2nd and background last

    • @wolfamri
      @wolfamri 5 днів тому

      That’s weird. Maybe a stupid question from me, but are you maybe not masking the key effect only, but the complete clip? I don’t think so, but just to make sure 😉

    • @Munffe97
      @Munffe97 5 днів тому

      @@wolfamri hi! yes only masking the key effect like the video, what I ended up doing is making the mask for the hair and another ultra key for everything else minus what I could cut with the clip-mask. I have to say sir thank you so much for this video, I tried every other tutorial that I could find but this one with the multi-keying was the only one that helped me save a bad green screen footage, doing 2 or more key mask to edit the clip is such a genius, simple and efficient solution, I will use this technique again in the future for sure

    • @wolfamri
      @wolfamri 5 днів тому

      That's so great to hear. So it worked in the end and you only had to do one green screen hair for the mask and the rest was taken care of with the second ultra key, right?

      Oh, now I understand. Hair are the biggest challenge for green screen, and moving hair are even more difficult to key. Not only is my bald head pretty easy to key (apart from color spill), but there is also a difference in keying blonde hair vs dark hair. So I thought it was a brilliant idea to buy a wig with which you can test everything in one go.

    I have a question from a newby that might sound stupid ... If you have enough light, do you really need a big aperture to have that blurry look as now you can easily get the same looks with AI software ? Thank you for the content !

    • @wolfamri
      @wolfamri 25 днів тому

      There are no stupid questions 😉. I wouldn't say it's the same look yet, but it gets close and will soon be the same. But for some time being, AI is and will be rather slow. So if you shoot many images, it is quite tedious to always wait for AI to compute your background (especially the hair). And finally: In the one or the other form, AI is/will have to be paid because companies want to make money. So for quite some time I feel that lenses will still be the way to go. Not sure if I would still say that in 10 years from now 😉.

    Hi! I am from 2024 and Aliexpress now offers threaded "male to male" rings that allow to attach a reversed lens to a normally oriented one. It looks somewhat working at least using a telephoto lens as the normal one and a general purpose / wide angle lens as the reversed one. The minimum focusing distance looks extremely low. Is this adapter of any use?

    • @wolfamri
      @wolfamri 26 днів тому

      Hi! I haven‘t yet tried that, but have heard that people use it. As long as both lenses are of decent quality, it should work well.

      On Amazon EU it has great reviews. Since other amazon countries might change the link: may I ask you to post the link here so that I can check what the problem could be?

      Thanks. I finally found a Tosuny on Amazon.de. But I couldn't find the review you mentioned. One has a 1* rating and says it is plastic (which I wouldn't bother unless I use it very frequently, and the customer should have known in advance, so why did he buy it).

    Hi Wolf, i really enjoy your videos! One question. I use a blackmagic cinema 4k. Is best to apply colour grading to BRAW/ProRes before or after i apply the ultra key? All the best, Jacob

    • @wolfamri
      @wolfamri Місяць тому

      Thank you 😉. I don't think it will make much of a difference in regard to the keying result, but since you'd want to grade to match the background, I'd say you need to grade after you have placed your green screen footage in front of the final background.
